Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, this is what the old saying prescribes for the bride to have in her possession on her wedding day in order to provide her with plenty of good luck. Many brides have continued with this old superstition by the use of accessories, and undergarments, such as an old family heirloom, borrowed jewellery, and the favourite blue garter.
Having all the right accessories can compliment even the simplest of wedding outfits, and unlike your wedding dress, accessories can be mixed and matched and used time and time again. However, as with many things 'simplicity is often the best policy', be sure not to go too OTT with the accessories.
Be sure to have a small bag that can contain personal items that you may need as the day progresses, such as lipstick, perfume, and a handkerchief.
