    more info

Many people would argue that the Wedding Day is, essentially, the Bride’s occasion, and that she is the “star” of the day. However, the Groom does have a very big role to play, as he is her leading man, and therefore responsible for a number of things.

The Groom is responsible for a number of tasks in conjunction with the Bride, such as:

    • Buying the Wedding Rings
    • Arranging the marriage venue, and liaising with the Registrar or Clergy
    • Buying gifts for the Bridesmaids, Page Boys, Best Man, Grooms men, and both mothers

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Choosing the Best Man / Grooms men
    • Arranging and paying for his wedding outfit (Check out Austin Reed's Wedding Hirewear)
    • Planning, booking, and paying for the honeymoon (sometimes done in conjunction with the bride)
    • Organising and paying for the stag party (In conjunction with the Best Man)
    • Writing his speech for the Reception
    • Paying for the flowers of the Bride and her attendants
    • Paying for the buttonholes and sprays
    • Arranging and paying for the car for himself and his Bride to and from the reception
    • Making sure the Best Man has enough money with him to cover any fees
    • Making sure he looks in mint condition for the big day. Fresh hair cut, groomed nails, etc
